WHO IS THE COURSE FOR? 

This course is for students with all levels of experience who want to obtain a certificate to apply for a License to Carry in TX.  It is recommended that each student be familiar with their firearm and have practiced with it in advance.  Students who are using an Alpine Range firearm for the class and who do not have experience shooting handguns would benefit by renting one of those handguns in advance of the course to become familiar with basic use.

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Curriculum covers the fundamentals of shooting, safe gun handling techniques, and reviews some of the legal aspects of carrying a concealed firearm in the state of Texas. Completion of this course satisfies the competency requirements necessary to obtain a concealed weapons license under Texas law.

• Judicious use of deadly force

PREREQUISITE

Students are encouraged to bring their own firearms & ammunition for their qualification. However, Alpine rents firearms and  sells ammunition.

PLEASE WEAR CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR APPROPRIATE FOR A SHOOTING RANGE!!!

No low cut shirts or blouses, or v-necks.  No open-toe shoes, flip flops, or sandals. Athletic or active wear preferred. Long pants preferred.

SHOOTING PORTION WILL START AT 9AM WITH A SAFETY BRIEFING
